The installer adds TurboDL to the Desktop and Start menu. The portable version runs with no installation, from a USB drive for example.
Apple menu › About This Mac shows “Apple chip” or “Intel processor”.
ARM64: Raspberry Pi 4/5 on 64-bit, ARM servers.
Installation
Run TurboDL-Setup.exe
If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info then Run anyway: the program is not yet signed with a paid certificate.
Click “Yes”
TurboDL installs in seconds, without administrator rights, and adds its icon to the Desktop and Start menu. It then opens in its own window.
Add your first link
Add button, paste the address, Download. To uninstall: Settings › Apps › Installed apps › TurboDL.
Open the archive
Double-click the .zip file, then drag TurboDL.app to the Applications folder.
Allow the first launch
macOS blocks applications not signed by Apple. Open TurboDL once, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
If macOS says the application is “damaged”, open Terminal and type:
Use TurboDL
The interface opens in your browser. TurboDL shows no icon in the Dock: start the application again to reopen the interface.
Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint: .deb package
Double-click the .deb file to open it in the software manager, or install it in a terminal. TurboDL then appears in the applications menu.
Other distributions: .tar.gz archive
Extract it, then install TurboDL for your user, without administrator rights:
